With over 2500 places on over 120 workshops with over 30 of Australia’s best photographers and instructors, across 3 days BFOP 2024 is set to be bigger, better, crazier and more chaotic than EVER!

We’re delivering you workshops in nearly every genre of photography that you can think of alongside our presentations stages and special events from our brand sponsors. If you’ve been to BFOP before you don’t need to read on, just hit the ‘checkout’ button and be done with it because you know this will be the weekend to define 2024!

Wow, every year BFOP just gets better and better! Come alone or with a friend - or even your whole camera club. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Need equipment? The sponsors can help you out. This year I chose completely different workshops from previous years and learned so much watching and participating in the workshop activities. And then our own personal fireworks display to top it off. Don't miss out next year.

Finally attended my first BFOP this year (2023), and I’ll certainly be back next year. A great range of workshops and walks covering many genres. I chose workshops on stuff that’s outside my photo comfort zone and had a blast. There’s plenty of time between workshops to explore Bright and the surrounding area, or enjoy a ☕️ or 🍺 while catching up with friends - don’t worry if you come alone, you’ll find friends at BFOP.

BFOP is not only the best photography festival in the world, it is a family of enthusiastic, fun and interesting people, learning from an array of Australia's best photographers. Everyone helps each other and friendships are formed over the 3 days. Mark it on your calendar as tickets sell up fast, and once you attend, you will keep coming back. The opportunities you will be offered include chasing unicorns, photographing gold miners, sled dog teams, mountain bikes, abstract, food, pets and portraits of all kinds. Having fun is a large part of this festival, so do yourself a favour and get ready to bo0k BFOP 2024.

As a first timer I had no idea what I was in for but I headed along with an open mind and was blown away by the friendliness and felt welcomed at every moment of the festival. Matt and Nick have created possibly the best workshop environment, and the professional instructors on hand are approachable and willing to impart their knowledge to help you acheive better photos. Trying to think of how to describe BFOP to my firends and family who are not photographers... closest I could assimilate to was 'Golf Trip' but with a bag of lenses instead of clubs. What an absolute blast.

New to BFOP? Well what can I say? Hmmm. BFOP was born out of the love of photography, an incredible community of professional photographers and a bet Nick Fletcher made over a large quantity of beer. We’re not your regular photography festival, ditching the stuffiness and stuffing it with good old fashion fun and shenanigans whilst learning nearly anything you want to know about photography from Australia’s best. The main stage hosts presentations from our instructors from sunrise to sunset, as well as over 120 workshops to choose from delivered by our team of over 30 instructors. The evenings are all about community, with booze filled shenanigans, prizes, games and a whole lot of fun on the main stage!
