MEET MIEKE BOYNTON
Having returned from a world-wide expedition to hunt down and capture some of the best landscape images you'll ever see Mieke has settled back down in sleepy Bright but not before claiming the 2019 AIPP Victorian Landscape Photographer of the Year award. She's a full time landscape photographer who can whisper to nature, making truly mind blowing images. The best part is that now she's home Mieke has spend every waking minute turning every rock and fern to find the best landscape locations in the land for those lucky enough to score a spot on her workshops.
If you've seen the Hunger Games, this girl is the Katniss Everdeen of photography - Nails every shot (but is also super loveable).
CURRENT BFOP STATUS:
Graduating to Veteran BFOP status this year Meike is set to blow you away with some incredible landscape opportunities! … She’s also asked for a helicopter? We’ll see…
Join the BFOP team in 2018 as a Rookie and ran some incredible workshops focusing on Bright’s magnificent sunrise and sunsets.
Was too busy travelling around the world being awesome.

2019 BFOP WORKSHOPS & PRESENTATIONS:
There is something special about watching the rising sun as it slowly bathes a valley in light, and some of the best views of the Alpine Valleys are from the lookouts at the Chalet (The Gorge Lookout) and Crystal Brook Falls lookout at Mount Buffalo. We will hope for some morning fog in the valley, or some warm light to make the granite outcrops glow.
One of the most spectacular rock formations on Mt Buffalo is The Cathedral, and those granite tors absolutely light up in the late afternoon sunlight. Join Mieke for a hike up to this iconic location and marvel at the views of never-ending mountains, whilst selecting vignettes of rock formations and skeletal trees with your telephoto lens.
