We suspect Louise is going to be the most popular instructor over the weekend, given that last time we did anything with horses it booked out in 17 seconds flat. What’s more, Louise is a bit of horse specialist and was the AIPP Animal Photographer of the Year in 2018. If she had her way she’d spend every waking moment with horses. We are stoked to get her upto Bright and she has got something really special planned.
CURRENT BFOP STATUS:
This year we managed to lassoed Louise into BFOP, going to be epic!
This is kind of awkward but in 2018 our people spoke to Louis’ people but there was a lack of clear communication. Turns out her people was a horse… go figure.
With severe drought affecting Victoria in 2017 there was a hay shortage and so Louise’ transport was unable to make the 47 hour ride to Bright.
2019 BFOP WORKSHOPS & PRESENTATIONS:
Louise has photographed more horses than you've had hot dinners. This workshop should be fabulous. She will be looking at concentrating on the connections people have with their subject, in her case horses, but the same principles can be applied to most portrait work regardless of subject. She will start the intro sessions talking a little about gear, moving on to communication (with their subject), safety and working with animals. She will then cover seeing the light, location, camera settings, depth of field, composition, basic posing etc. And of course you'll get plenty of opportunities to photograph the horse and owner.
Louise is a horse photography guru and brilliant at capturing the relationship between the horse and its owner. This workshop will cover similar ground to the basic workshop but will then concentrate on lighting, posing and composition. Should be magic.
