JP is Bright’s tame Frenchman. He is most famous for his cycling photography, where his coverage of the Tour de France is a regular feature in Australia’s media including RIDE (Australia’s premier cycling magazine). We love him because he is the archetypical working photographers photographer, shooting for the local paper, Bright Brewery, the Council, the Spring Festival, and a thousand other local organisations. Basically, if you see a photo in Bright, odds are JP took it. He is a huge supporter of the festival (and a BFOP original).
This year he’ll be leading workshops on food photography and taking a guided photo-workshop down the gorge. We can’t guarantee you’ll understand everything he says (we certainly don’t!) but you will have huge fun with his Franglais and you will love hanging out with this warm, good natured human being learning some new skills. Now say after us “mais, je ne comprends pas”….
CURRENT BFOP STATUS:
This year he’s back and putting down the sports lens and picking up the food lens to bring you his first BFOP workshop!
Always here with a helping hand, Jean-Pierre used Google Translate to assist with so many of our workshops in 2018
He’s been here with us from the start in a supporting role, helping with cameras, logistics and of course beautiful French humor
2019 BFOP WORKSHOPS & PRESENTATIONS:
Join our favorite Frenchman for this taster of food photography. This is a simple workshop ideally suited to beginners (or those studying VCE languages). JP is most famous for his Tour de France photography but he's a dab hand at food. He'll cover presentation, lighting and basic camera settings.
